Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia provides students with greater access to research areas, academic supervisors, and research communities across Telkom University. Students can engage with Research Groups, Centers of Excellence, research laboratories, PUI-PT, Bandung Techno Park, as well as strategic industry and institutional partners.
Through this academic ecosystem, doctoral students are encouraged to develop impactful research, expand their academic networks, and contribute meaningful solutions to emerging global challenges.
Applicants with a Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) certificate will be highly valued.

Required Documents
- Scan of the relevant pages of the passport.
- Scan of passport-sized photographs with a red background.
- Personal Statement or Motivation Letter explaining the applicant’s vision and reasons for applying to Telkom University, written in 1–2 pages of A4 paper. Accepted file formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, and JPEG.
- Statement of Compliance with Rules and Non-Employment.
- Undergraduate degree certificate and transcripts.
- Master degree certificate and academic transcripts.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Reference letter from the applicant’s previous University or workplace.
- Thesis Plan.
- English Proficiency documents.
- Approval letter from the prospective Promoter and Co-Promoter.
- Commitment letter to complete the required residency period.
- Permission letter from the applicant’s employer or institution, if the applicant is currently employed.
